历届E3游戏评论家大奖

到1997年亚特兰大的展览之后，E3已经轻松证明自己在电子娱乐产业中的权威地位了。于是从1998届E3开始，诞生了一个为所有参展作品进行评选的活动，举办者都是一些主流游戏网媒和平媒的编辑，这个评选的名字叫做“游戏评论家大奖”（Game Critics Awards）。这个评选的评委都来自美国的强势游戏媒体，尽管他们的出发点和评选标准都各不相同，评奖结果也出入不小，但借助于他们作为媒体的影响力，E3的地位更趋强化，也使参展的游戏厂商受益更多。这个奖项于是成为厂商们出征E3的一个重要理由。这和格莱美和奥斯卡起到了极其相似的作用。
*必须指出，令人难以理解的是，至今为止，国内多数主流游戏媒依然将此大奖理解为E3大展的官方评奖，引起读者的严重误解，这实为大谬。ESA是美国游戏厂商自己组织的协会，在自己主办的展会上为自己的产品搞评奖，不但毫无意义而且会引起非议。

1998年以来，这个评选每年都会按不同奖项选出对应的最佳游戏，并从2002年开始有了提名制度，由于提名太多，这里只列出98年以来E3大展所有最终获奖的游戏(注意：每年设立的奖项都有不同)
